how would i go about making a Dark Brotherhood mod

Hi,

 

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST, LOL, originally it was from a previous post, i would like to learn how to do it....

 

I really would like to know how to make an assassin faction mod for new vegas, something very similar to the dark brotherhood in oblivion, i have no idea where to start and i'd like some ideas, if possible

 

this is what i have so far and i wouldnt mind if someone pointed me in the right direction...

 

Maybe some quests

 

A cave hideout similar to Oblivions D.B., maybe do it at devils gullet since its empty

 

Daily Contracts for kills, they could be intricate, or straight to the point kills

 

the mansion quest, with all those people could be a high rollers invitation to some goodsprings type of building or a makeshift casino for high rollers, some members only thing, it doesnt even need to be in the vegas strip,

 

Grognak can now be a super mutant specializing in stealth kills ( just to be fallout funny ) or whatever

 

maybe a retexture of the stealthsuit so that it could resemble the leather assasin out given to you when you join the brotherhood ( i forgot the name ) please make an option to remove the helmet or use the slave scarf as a sustitute, retextured of course!!!

 

poison apples!!! lol

 

machete gladius can be an initiation gift, maybe similar effects to poison or something and renamed of course

 

first contact with the brotherhood would be optional, a letter or something like that to keep voice acting minimal if it isnt able to be done, lol maybe they couldve taken a vow of silence

 

upon killing more than some number of civilians STEATHLY or based on your karma status you will be contacted by a brotherhood associate or roderick type, it doesnt matter

 

maybe a rank system? initiate assasin all the way up to master assasin, long process, given as this should be a long fullfilling character quest rather than short and sweet, my opinion

I like it, quite a bit.

 

It's all do-able, of course by someone more experienced then me.

 

The rank system would have to be based off of the Reputation system, modified of course to give the rank names instead of the reputation names.

 

Karma status would be a slightly better way to go, or a mix of the two.

 

The weapon can be done now, but I think it would look better as either a sword (katana) or a combat knife.

 

the cave is possible, but new meshes/textures would be needed to make it look like it was built and not just taken over from a bunch of creatures.

No comment on the other aspects.

Thanks, i like the suggestions you made, I been working with the GECK, and jeez trying to make something is so tedious, lol. how would i do meshes and textures?
