TheBlob2
how do you make a function trigger just before an actor gets hit in combat? Edited February 13, 2015 by TheBlob2
luthienanarion
Register an OnHit event handler.

Fallout2AM
Do you mean "before my health is reduced", maybe?
TheBlob2
Do you mean "before my health is reduced", maybe? yes, i want a function to trigger just before the damage calculation
Fallout2AM
I can't think to anything like that right now, I'm not sure if something like that exists.
UltimateClay
I've never used it myself, so I can't verify that it works, but you could try using the OnFire command.

Fallout2AM
wasn't "onfire" a blocktype specific for weapons? I don't even know if it works on NV, never used me too.however, while you could filter the code and make it run if you are pointing to a specific actor, you wouldn't have the certainty that the shot hits the target, would you?I think actually the best deal is OnHit event handler and find a workaround to deal with the fact that the damage calculation is executed before, personally I can't think to any other solution.
