New Idea for a Pipboy

The pipboy and readius are alright, but I don't like the pipboy a lot and the readius I think just looks too futuristic for Fallout. What I think would be cool would be like the thing the guy wears on the cover of GRAW. Example

 

I don't know how hard this would be to make but I think it would be really cool.

could take that idea and implement that into the radius.. like a data pad or something along those lines, like a transparent ipad

Bare in mind the Pipboy is 70 or so years into the future technology.

 

Even though it's 1950s era style, it is still more advanced then us.

 

With the helmet however in order to implement that you would need to always be equipping the helmet/visor/glasses. Which would immediately require removing the usage of all hats/visors/glasses or remodelling all of them so they can somehow fit over a helmet. Which in of itself is rather redundant.

 

This would also remove the usage of perks like Four-Eyes, which gives you a bonus to perception when you were glasses but negatives when you dont.

What if it was a cybernetic eye or similar? Maybe when Benny shot you then Doc Michel had to replace one of your eyes with the cybernetic pipboy thing (which would also explain how the thing on your arm somehow lets you acess VATS... seriously, how does the courier go all bullet-time like that?).

 

It would be something like the invisible pipboy mod but hopefully with a spot where you can press the buttons and armor wouldn't change and leave a blank spot on your arm.
