LittleBaron
I am having a hard time finding this info on the web... I have made a new critter, a giant wasp, and I really want to make custom sounds (buzzing, etc.) for it but I cannot for the life of me figure out how. I added this folder under Data/Sounds/Fx/NPC/wasp with sounds in it. Under the "sounds" tab of the creature, "wasp" does not show up. Obviously, I am missing something. If someone could either point me in the direction of a tutorial or spell this out for me, I would appreciate it. Little Baron
David Brasher
To get the sounds into the game, you have to do one additional step in the CS. You have to create a new sound with a new form ID in the CS and link it to the sound you properly placed in the correct directory. The easiest way to do this is to just edit one of the existing sounds, give it a new name, link it to the proper sound file, and save it as a new item. You are almost done already. The sounds will also need to be added one by one for times such as idle, attack, and death. There is no creature already having your exact suite of wasp sounds. After you assign sounds to your first kind of wasp, any other varieties of wasps you make could just inherit the entire set of sounds from the first wasp. LittleBaron
Thank you! I feel a little silly to have never noticed the "sound" category in the list of forms. It never occured to me that even sounds would have their own form.
