Legion Mod

Anybody out there who wants to have a crack at making a Legion based mod?

 

Just add in extra quests such as turning in chems and energy weapons for caps.

 

Taking over towns with an occupational force.

 

Taking part in attacking NCR bases.

 

Taking part in raiding NCR supply caravans.

 

A Legion companion, and since ED-E and possibly rex would fall under banned tech, a Legion mongrol too.

 

Open up a new area in the fort and have a small slave rebellion which must be put down.

 

Become Caesars personal spy, basically gaining intel on all factions and from Mr. House, also a plausable reason to not simply walk into every village and tear it apart.

 

Something to do with the burned man.

 

Be great if somebody, or tbh, a small team from the scape of things im thinking, would come together and create a Legion worth fighting for.

I second this. This would be a very large scale project but would really add to the gameplay experience.

I loved working with the legion but also felt it was lacking and a mod like this sounds like a very challenging and good idea

I would like to see something about the Burned Man go into effect, not too keen on helping the legion though, but I do like their dogs...I hate both factions, Legion and NCR...Bureaucracy doesn't really work well when your basically work for who ever pays the most...and a Totalitarianism Militaristic view of the world is a bad idea as well, cause you'll eventually run out of things to conquer, then what would you do with a blood thirsty army that would sell their own mother into slavery just because she did something against their views...

Alright, I was thinking about some more ways to expand on this, and heres what iv got so far;

 

At the very start of the game, your given a choice, normal start, or legion start, if you choose legion start, it loads up the mod.

 

At the legion start you can make a character, and are then thrown straight into the arena inside the fort against a legionnaire, your a slave who did some wrong doing against this legionnaire, and your punishment is death!

However, you manage to win! And an officer orders more legionnaires to finish the job until caeser overrules him, saying you've shown true strength, tells you to take the dead legionnaires gear, and states your now part of the legion.

 

Starting out, you'd need to gain legion reputation, done by killing NCR soldiers, small quests around the fort and turning in chems and energy weapons.

Once at an appropriate level, Vulpes Inculta will begin giving you personal assignments;

 

1. During the night, with your group, sneak in to camp searchlight, and open the tanks of radiation and escape, your group succumbs to radiation poisoning, but you manage to survive.

 

2. Impressed with your performance, he would then invite you along for another assignment. He wants you to go to nipton and negotiate a deal with the mayor, trapping all NCR soldiers there. Upon informing him, you'd then go to massacre the town.

 

3. The destruction of Helios 1.

 

Think of some more if you can.

 

After an appropriate level of reputation has been reached, Caeser will give the player a personal assignment, to track down a courier, and recover a platinum chip. Through stealth, manipulation and brute force, you'd end up destroying Mr house and his robot army, severely weakening any advantage the NCR or the strip would have of fighting off legion forces.

 

You'd also get certain rewards, such as your own caeser like tent home, complete with slave.

 

It would sort of work as a tier system, where you start off as a legion recruit, become a legion preatorian, and eventually, become Caeser's legate, leading the forces of Caeser through hoover dam in the final battle.

 

I'd love a mod like this, but im hoping a small group of modders can deliver, it is doable, the germans have shown us just how far this engine can be pushed afterall ^^

If anybody else has any ideas or something please chuck them in, if there is enough interest, ill start to consolidate them all into the first post.

I was disappointed there were really no morally negative companions. Pretty much everyone loved the NCR and hated the Legion
