Make NPCs/Enemies shoot more slowly (and aim!)

Ever noticed how *all* human/ghoul enemies tend to empty their magazines into you (or someone else) from a long range and they don't slow down their rate of fire at all? Like, they aren't taking a second or two to even aim, they're just pulling the trigger as fast as they can and almost all their shots somehow end up hitting you? Whlist I (the player) have to actually aim and pick my shots carefully, one at a time in order to take down a target(s)? That doesn't seem very fair.

So, with that in mind, I'm requesting a mod that forces enemies and NPCs who are armed with certain firearms and energy weapons to shoot at a noticeably slower rate. Maybe a half-second to 2 second delay between shots since you'd need to re-acquire your target thanks to recoil.

Not sure why anyone has thought of this yet!

It's pretty cool idea but maybe you think about this mod also ? http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/39058/?tab=4&&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fnewvegas%2Fajax%2Fcomments%2F%3Fmod_id%3D39058%26page%3D1%26sort%3DDESC%26pid%3D0%26thread_id%3D281443&pUp=1 I know it's not what you asking (al last not at all) but maybe it's matches for you.

I don't mind it, simply because the balance of power (in the players favor) changes very early in the game, and very few in teh wasteland have any professional training. But I do understand where your coming from.

I answered a similar question a few months back, and I believe it's still the only real, viable solution;

Davinpatterson yes... I mean aiming animation whenever shoot without holding down the zoom key

But if I press aim button I would have the zoom, I know how I can edit the zoom of weapon but I don't know how change the player animation..

So your going to go to any npc and select the animation tab. In it you'll see the animations/kfs. Most of the pistol animations start with 1hpaim (I assume 1 handed pistol aim) and 1hpattack etc. Your going to extract those from the meshes bsa, rename them to the attack animation that you want to replace. But there are a lot. Like 8 or 9 types of 1 handed pistol animations and several different directions for each type (up, down, left up, left down, etc) plus animations while crouched. But check them out and you can swap out the normal attacks for aiming attacks. I think the aiming attacks have "is" after the number. So say 1hpattack3down.kf is the normal pistol attack downward, and 1hpattack3isdown.kf has the pistol attack aiming downward. Extract 1hpattack3isdown.kf rename it 1hpattack3down.kf and drop it in meshes\characters\_male and it should override the default animation.

Your crouched animations should have sneak in the kfs name.

One caution, what your doing is an animation replacer (even though your using standard/default animations) so all npc's will perform the same way, as well as your character

However since you only want some weapons to have that aiming behavior it's less animations to rename, and thus less work. Also keep the caveat above in mind, your normal attack animation will change to an aiming attack for any animations you replace, just like the NPCs.
