DarkWofBane59
I'm still a noob at modding but whenever I download a mod file all that downloads is a notepad but with no actual folders or files. Can anyone tell me what's going on?
FrozonedIvy
Do you use Mod Orginizer, If not download that then download the mod. And which mod are you talking about?
DarkWofBane59
I've been trying to download the 'Natural bodies all in one' and 'Assassin armour and rapiers' mods but keep getting the notepad instead of folders. And I'll download the Mod Organizer now. Thandal
Ermmm... Mod Organizer ("MO") is designed for, and only works with, Bethesda Software's TES and Fallout games. And the Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) referenced by FrozonedIvy above won't help either. "Assassin Armor and Rapiers" requires that the ARE folder be placed in a non-standard location, and "NBaio" requires the use of the DAO-ModManager ("DAMM") which is the only way to handle any mod packaged as a ".override" file. As for getting "notepad" instead of folders, you're doing something wrong...
FrozonedIvy
Sorry I mostly play Skyrim so i thought MO and MM had the same meaning xD
DarkWofBane59
Confusing because some mods contain the zip folders and some contain only a notepad.
Thandal
What browser are you using? (Some try to "help" by renaming the extension of files of a type they think they recognize.) But in any case, both "NBaio" and "Assassin Armor and Rapiers" are packaged as ".7z" files. So you'll need an application (like "7-zip") that can properly extract them from their compressed download archives.
DarkWofBane59
I'm on Google Chrome and I have 7-zip so I'll try on a different browser.
