Thandal Posted February 17, 2015 Share Posted February 17, 2015 Ahhh... I see your problem. You are trying to "Open" the compressed file directly after downloading it.No, no no! Save the file, then use the appropriate tool (7-zip, in this case) to open it. It appears that at some point you "associated" Notepad with the file type ".7z", so that's the program that is being used by default when you don't specify another. Obviously not the right move! :laugh: (You could, of course, reassign the file type association. But since you didn't understand the problem in the first place, I hesitate to discuss more complex Windows operations.) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
