kenlee25
the way i figure it. if your character is some sort of demigod able to take bullets in the brain and charge into battle against mutants, monsters, and robots with his bare fists, the way he fights should reflect his super hero status. kicks. yes im talking about the OTHER half of the body many styles embrace and master as a weapon. here is how i propose this could work. the animation for regular punches could remain the same ( however a jab would be preferable to the wild swing your character does now ) and each power attack depending on the direction could be a different technique. now i practice taekwondo in real life so i will be putting this into those terms ( taekwondo is also an offensive art with moves that are not overly complicated but still require practice and speed. perfect for fallout where animations should not be to hard to create ) if you need a reference to these moves watch the front page video here. http://www.youtube.com/user/kwonkicker this is not me regular strike: jab or hook or uppercut or elbow. basic moves in any martial art. pop them out randomly. ( within 1st minute of vid )Power strike forward: front kick or #3 forward side kick ( in the video at 2:28 and 2:51 )Power strike sides: round kicks to the ribs ( btw the guy in the vid uses his shin, some displines of tkd use the balls of the foot fyi ) at 1:42 - 1:50power strik back: reverse side kick or spin hook kick ( hook kick starts at 2:38 ) for the moves that happen within vats knee or any kind of kick to the head could be used. ( would look pretty awsome to literally kick a guys head off ) or even elbows if you need a reference, a martial arts mod was already created for oblivion. and within first person it should not ( of coarse i wouldnt know ) be to hard to render. just show the foot. however this may mean that armors will have to be altered for it to work...but if not id settle for just the third person view. thank you for your time. thedude420
although i agree the unarmed portion of the game is lacking i have to say implementing all of that would take some real talent to successfully pull off.
kenlee25
the thing is though the mod was already implimented in oblivion years ago. it actually may be as simple as porting the animations over. also since obsidian apperently took so many ideas from mods, they should have taken that one from oblivion...just saying. but yes i know it would take some real talent and time. that is why im throwing it out there now.
