low res-textures

I've seen one that cut the textures in half. He did it in a batch converter program of sorts (sorry, no expert over here) and made the game's 512's to 256's and so on. If I find it I will post a link.

The file I was speaking of is gone/hidden, I have it but it is not mine to release in any capacity. It was called "Fallout NV Halfsized" and was 630mb's, having the game draw from half sized textures it installed in your data folder.

I've still never used it but found the idea interesting for a lower end to mid level pc.

Here is one thing I did find under utilities, read about it and use it at your own risk, it is not my mod. Also not the one I'd thought of, but closest I could find.

Not a clue, and the file has no name of the mod author either. pic attatched..

Gimp has command line input and batch conversion capabilities. Once one was able to get the commands down, it'd just be a matter of time as the PC churned them out. But before I started down that path, I'd like to find out if there was some sort of transgression and the moderators pulled teh mod, or if the author took it down.

@nivea thanks, that's the same mod I linked to the OP up top, I just never looked into how to utilize it.

@devinpatterson I wondered the same, that's why I hesitated to even post the pic. GIMP is giving me errors lately, I've been using Paint.NET until I can purchase photoshop again. It becomes a give / take, love / hate type relationship with modding.

I'm just happy my game is finally running smooth w/ 95+ mods active and playing nicely together, even ultra settings aren't trying to break my pc for once. (Knock on wood...lol)
