thanateros Posted October 13, 2003 Share Posted October 13, 2003 Well when If first test drived that little scroll o fun I landed somewhere in the middle of the ocean....it was a really really really long swim back....but the fact that I didn't die is something I feel I should be proud of given the fact that Icaris kills. Instead of going all the way through the Telvanni ship line and dealing with the smell of rancid mushrooms along the way, I figured that I'd stop by Seyda Neen and get the three Scrolls of Icarian Flight that i had sold to Arrile ages ago. Since I had very little gold when I found the famed "Agronian" (TESCS joke) and already heard horror stories about the scrolls, I figured that it'd be better to just sell them. However, curiosity had taken me and I soon found myself on the strider port of Khuul, preparing to propel myself through the air like some sort of green, steel-clad rocket. I had it all planned out. As the horizon rushed toward me, I would use a second scroll and be saved from all damage. However, I found that the scroll did not launch me quite as far as I had predicted and I had some control over my velocity and direction. At this point, it seemed that a water landing just off the coast of the island would be entirely possible, sparing me not only the damage of impact, but also the use of a second scroll. Carefully navigating, I managed to land in the desired area, within sight of the ancient tower and just above the glassy waters of Sheogorad. As I landed, the waters and air around me turned red with triumph, and my body felt numb with excitement. The patrols of the Imperial Knights found a set of Steel armor the next day, the head attached to it severed from the rest of the body and the wound of decapitation cauterized. Really funny :D As far as I know water landing saves you from death, probably water should be deep enough - so you can't land near the coast, that's my idea. But to make sure that patrol of Imperial Knights will not find broken armor with some remnants of flash inside, going down use slowfall - helps a lot! ;) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
