Mods i'd like to see

This may not be an inspiring sermon of ideas, as i have only really been immersing myself in the whole first-person shooter aspect. Since i have started playing i have thought of a lot of things that i would like to have, and it would be nice to know if people feel the same as me, or even if they are or know someone who is working on them currently. So i'll just present a few ideas that i'd like to see;

 

- Ghillie Suit

I know this has already been mentioned in another post, and i'll back up a reply in there by saying i think a new one should be done instead of porting Fo3's, because i don't think the detail cuts it. Something similar to CoD4's would be fantastic.

 

- Toggle-able night / heat vision in the Pip Boy

I understand people seem to be adding these things to certain weapons and armour, but it would be far more convenient if one were made for the Pip Boy, and that way people could hotkey it and have it turn on and off when they need it, and not have to remove certain parts of their armour.

 

- Night Scope

I know it probably sounds contrary to also want this, but i'd also like to see a night vision scope to provide a sense of realism and limitation to night time situations. This would be fantastic with Fellout, as there would be plenty of situations where the player would feel the need to use a scoped weapon or binoculars to scope out the surrounding area.

 

- Revised Scope-sway

At the moment i feel as though the wobble is far too extreme, and unbalanced. Whether your moving or not, your disorientation in scope changes barely, and even crouched, enemies at certain distanced seem impossible to hit, regardless of how long you have been sitting still for. It would be fantastic to have a whole new revised system, where wobble increased as you moved and decreased as you stayed still. Instead a 'hold breath' function could be implamented, however i think that complicate things when playing.

 

- Revised animations based around Call of Duty

To complete the whole sniper set, i'd love to see a knife melee key, and i'd love even more so to see the ability to go prone. With the above mod, scope sway could be controlled very well by how you position yourself. I think all of the weapon mechanisms in New Vegas are developed very well, but the delay and general slowness in animations limits immesion. If animations were shorter they could be more fluid.

Sounds a bit like you want Fallout: Call of Duty or something. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing your ideas or anything. Its just that the engine Fallout is based on is not what you would call for ideal for military simulation... I consider it a win when NV doesn't crash after a solid hour of playtime lul. It's just not stable enough IMO.

That may be true. I'll agree that the engine does feel like it's at the limit of fludity, so maybe the whole animation revision may be an exaggeration, but i think altering the scope sway as proposed would be fantastic, in my opinion, as the player would be given the chance to land shots of incredibly distances provided they had enough time prior to shooting.
