Malchik
Ooh er, conscience! If someone gives you a gift its because they hope it will be useful and if the money comes in handier than the item itself, because you've already got seventeen wonderful swords, they would be much happier that you pawned it to be able to stay alive. I don't sell the items myself because 1. They are (usu.) aesthetically pleasing.2. I display them in my houses.3. By the time I've got them I don't need more money. But I still don't see a reason for not selling them if cash is needed. In most cases you can always buy 'em back later. (Tho' I don't think this works in Mournhold Museum, I presume you can steal them back.)
Marxist ßastard
No, you can't buy back items from the museum. However, you can steal them, but NPCs won't recognize this as the real item (Instead of having item "Stendarr_Hammer_Unique," you now have "Stendarr_Hammer_Unique_X") and you'll have to be careful about what you say around the owner of the museum... cbfreel
You should go to the museum of artifacts where you can sell them for full price and then steal them back again.
DreamOfTheRood
So, in short, your options are: 1. Cheat2. Exploit/Power-play (see #1)3. Load a "Rich Merchants plug-in" (see #1)4. Lug around really expensive items you can't sell I do not concur. You don't have to carry around all those items if you don't want to. Just find an empty house (Or an occupied abode if you are so inclined). Dump your stuff there, and you're ready to go.
