ROK07
is there an easy way to view changes made by an .esp or .esm in GECK? eg. i download a mod, how do i find out the exact changes it has made? is there just a simple one click way to show changes made by the esp? gamesettings changed, items/actors modifed/created, scripts etc.
Quetzlsacatanango
If it is an esp it will have a * next to items affected by the active plugin. A better way to see exactly what has changed is by opening the file in fo3/fnvedit.
WuphonsReach
Yes, FO3Edit (for Fallout 3) or NVEdit (for New Vegas) is the far superior method of finding out what a ESM/ESP changes compared to the base ESM. Looking for changes in GECK is needle-in-a-haystack. You can even create quick one-off mod variants by editing the ESP files in NVEdit without getting GECK into the picture at all. I used to edit the Nightvision Goggles mod that I had downloaded to be brighter/darker to match better what I wanted in conjunction with whatever "darker exterior/interior" mod I was using at the time.
