IVlatty
I'v had this idea to create a few 'combat simulations' for New Vegas. A simulator pod will be added to the game-world, which will allow you to play the roles of certain characters within the history of the Lucky 38, and take part in some of it's more thrilling past. In my first instance you will take the role of one of the Casino's security details, responding to a situation on the casino floor. The main goal of the mod is merely to provide a few scenarios in which the player is free to engross themselves exclusively combat in New Vegas. Currently i have cleared out and revised the lighting for the 38 casino floor. I am quite happy with the way the lighting has turned out :) I have laid out all of the navmeshes, and played through a few scenarios fighting ghouls and NCR through it. The darkness and vibrancy really give it a whole new feel. http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/687/topoftheworld.jpg - modelhttp://img812.imageshack.us/img812/7844/screenshot310.png - in-gamehttp://img837.imageshack.us/img837/4781/screenshot340g.png - in game However this is only as far as i have come. I am open to suggestions regarding what could take place here. I have tried it out with ghouls attacking fleeing NPC's, and it's very thrilling but i think it may serve better to be fighting against armed combatants, perhaps the NCR. I have also considered creating a simulation which contains the casino, just operating as a casino. I could do this in a far more fulfilling way, populating it with more NPC's, and allowing the player to basicly use the area as a sandbox. I am open to suggestions on other areas to possibly include, or scenarios to lay out. Current Queries; I noticed some flight simulation pods in the Nellis AFB Hangars, and i'm wondering if they are useable? Are the animations that were in anchorage present in the game? If not i will just use a menu system.

If not i will just use a menu system. The animations are still in game, i've seen them while browsing. As for the lighting, well i don't think the Lucky 38 was ever darkly light with red ;p Id have expected a bright clean festive atmosphere myself, for the past. IVlatty
It's a bit whiter now that all of the lights for the lamps are in place. I'm trying to go for a bit of colour, giving the impression that things were a bit more cheery, civilised and orderly in the past. However the Lucky 38 is not a casino that gained it's power through cheer and good will, so in order to create the impression that you are playing the role of a dark character, i want to create a few dark areas. :)
Nihilisaurus
If you're going into the past you can have Xhinese commandos or mobsters attacking the place in it's Heyday. IIRC House never attacked the NCR, hell he *gave* them the hoover dam in exchange for leaving Vegas under his control...
