Whats the best SPELL in-game?

Reading all the responses the "best weapon" thread has had/still gets, i thought i'd open up a spell thread, considering that i am a mage at heart (i even have my own pointy hat that i wear at weekends). These can include your home-made or store-brought spells. Please include the name, all its effects, and where you got/made it.

Oh goodness me. There are so many. I like a nice 'frenzy humanoid' spell so I can get anyone to attack me without risking any of those annoying fines. You can buy it in the mages guild Sadrith Mora but you will have to get a spellmaker (the one who sells it to you will do) to raise it to 100. Don't give it any 'area' or you'll end up frenzying too many to cope with at once. I call the spell Barking after the UK expression 'Barking Mad'.

My happy little Necro spell. Really hard to cast, drains most of my magicka, but it is really good to have.

 

Raise Skeleton 60 seconds

Raise scamp 70 seconds

raise bonewalker 60 seconds

raise greater bonewalker 60 seconds

summon golden saint 60 seconds

summon storm atronach 60 seconds

 

 

Call it "Hell's Army"

wow wesaynothin, that's a rather rediculous spell to be using, how high is your willpower because you must have an enourmous amount of magicka and conjuration skill to pull that one off.

 

Actaully I have two favorite spells:

 

Syphon Soul:

Soul Trap 30 seconds

Weakness to Magicka 75% for 30 sec

Paralysis 30 secs

Absorb Health 25- 30 pts for 30 secs

 

on the the next one.

 

Spell of Sustaining:

Heal Health 20 pts for 30 seconds

Heal Fatigue 20 pts for 30 seconds

(really useful when fighting in melee)

Well, it drains my magicka completely. Conjuration 100 (donta luv them trainers?)

 

Cost me over 90,000 to make. That was all my character had too.

 

I rarely can cast it... But when I do, its really good .

Are you a Breton by chance...If you had thrown ancestral ghost in there while all the other baddies were beating up everything else you could attack it and then absorb its spell. For some reason you absorb a ton of magicka back when they use it....just a thought :)

 

Yea mine pretty much drains all of my magicka too, and since i have stunted magicka i really appreciate those ghosties and bonelords for their ever so generous donations

High Elf. I really need all them summonie beings so nothing gets thorugh and sarts using all those weaknesses to an advantage.Ancestral Ghost would have been a good idea, except I wouldn't have enough magicka to cast it....

Well in theory this might work but does casting a damage spell on self while you have spell absorb on regenerate your mana or is that not effective?

 

If it is I would try something like that to replenish mana if it doesn't soak up so much to actaully use it in the first place.

That's probably a really good idea. Then my army will be unstoppable :P

 

And, in theory, if you did that with you health, you would be invincible since you would keep on absorbing you own health....

What do you mean, Malchik, MY favourites? I just started this thread so i could leach everyone elses. Oh well, if you insist. I have a couple of favs, like the usual damage taget/health self ones that everyone has, but i made an uberspell that i haven't actually been able to cast more than once.

 

Name: You Are Mine

Effects: Soultrap 60 secs 10ft area (see the name/effect relation, eh, eh? :D )

Frost damage 50pts 20ft area

Where i got it: I picked up the various spells from different people, but i made it with the Wood Elf in Balmora Mages Guild (i forget here name)
