Binoculars mapped to key

Is there any way to map the binoculars to a single key, so you won't have to equip/unequip like a weapon? It would be really helpful if someone could mod something like this.

You'll probably have to hook into NVSE, just like AlexScorpion's NVG mod that he released today that ties into the "N" key.
