New Vegas 4gb patch + crossfire

Using the 4gb patch and crossfire, the game runs perfectly, as smooth as it can get.

 

But...whenever I sleep or enter the barter screen with a merchant, as soon as i'm out of those screens, my game starts a consistent lag. The only way I know to fix it is by restarting the game.

 

This is very annoying since sleep is done often. Without crossfire I don't get this problem, but the game doesn't run as smooth.

 

 

 

Any ideas?

 

The reason I use the 4gb patch is because it's the only thing that properly increases performance / removes stutter. I am also using the d3d9 fix, as well as the 10.10c hotfix drivers.
