making a town mod

Do you guys know of any town making totourials?

Nope. That's because there aren't any. This is largly because it requires alot of knowhow in multiple areas.

 

If you wanted to make a town, I suggest that you learn how to use the CS fairly well. Try things out, and learn how to do everything. Depending on your town, you would certainly want to be familiar with how objects are placed, moved, and manipulated in the render window. You would probably want to be familiar with how to define your own NPCs and items. Then comes learning how to make packages, and how to make a path grid. Eventually, you might want to learn how to do some scripting, and how to make dialogue work.

 

When in doubt check the CS wiki, it explains some stuff fairly well, most stuff not so well, but can answer many of the easy questions, and will get you used to trying to figure things out on your own. If afrer trying on your own, you still don't know, try looking at how something was done within the standard game, or another mod (with permission). If nothing helps, search these forums, and READ. Seriously, I think most of the questions you're likely to have, have already been answered in other topics. If finally, after all this, and going back and thinking about it on your own for a bit, there still isn't any answer, try asking here. But really, you should get into the practice of figuring it out on your own without following any guide, you learn more.
