thabasszist
Hey guys I was wondering if anyone had this problem, I know I have OCD in real life but it isn't any real cause for concern. The only thing I know I have in terms of OCD with games is stuff like Oblivion/Fallout and anything else like these games. Almost everytime I start oblivion, I always have to choose either a strictly Stealth, Magic, or Combat character, I don't know why but after a few hours of playing the game I always feel the need to start over, not necessarily like I've done something wrong in the game but like I wasn't keeping up with my characters class. I never really make to much farther into the game then those few hours. I have tried combination's stealth and magic since those two are my favorite classes, and the few times I played strictly combat, I seemed to hate it more than ever. So if anyone can relate to my predicament and post it that would be great. Also, if anyone had any ideas to help me with making a class that I like then that would be great as well. Also, when it comes to stealth, the only thing about it is that certain races start off with better stats than other races? If that is true, if you choose a breton and all his stealth skills are maxed and compared to a wood elf or khajiit with maxed out stealth skills, there should be no difference besides appearance right? thabasszist
which lead to me uninstalling oblivion because I couldn't play the game... all I'm saying is I want to start playing it again and would like some help with my character so I don't start over. :)-thanks guys! bben46
Don't lock yourself into a particular class. It's not required and actually makes it more fun to be a warrior who can cast spells, sneak and pick locks.
PJOnso
Haha, I'm so finding myself in what you're saying... I think there's no game I've ever finished, but lots where I know the first 5 hours by heart. I start out telling myself 'This is gonna be it' - never works out that way. The good thing about Oblivion though is that you can do anything with every character and you shouldn't be too worried when your 'clean' magic/sneak char shows some skill with a sword. Just make a story out of it (at least that's what I do). As for race just choose what you like best, lacking a bonus in a skill you might like just makes for a steeper learning curve. At the end of the day 100 skill points are 100 skilled points.
Triaxx2
Some races are taller than others, which makes sense, but it's mostly a cosmetic difference and how close you can get to shore before you're swimming. I love the early game, especially playing without leveling, but it does get boring only ever finding iron equipment.
