Veronica quest won't trigger

I have problems to trigger the quest "I Could Make You Care". Visited almost all of the ten recommended locations but she won't talk and talking to her does not give any new options.

 

Is there any way to trigger the quest via console command?

Well, all sorted now.

 

Loaded an earlier savegame and went to the Presidential Suit (Lucky 8), watched Pete's history lesson at Nellis AFB and then fast-travelled to Camp McCarran to talk to Dr. Hildern - nothing. But just on my way out, near the exit, she suddenly talked to me and I got the quest.

 

The trigger seems to be a little random or maybe buggy, too.

i also have problems with that quest, i pick up the emp gun and it doesnt trigger, it still says go to the box and pick it up in the quest window.. annoying.. really... annoying.. and i want the power armor training.........

AfaIk for power armor training you don't need that quest. Just make Hardin new Elder and then join BoS (needs some quests).

 

I'm keen on doing the Veronica quest because I don't want to lose her when destroying BoS. Few of them attack her after she spoke to the Elder (whoever he is) and some others kill some Followers if you advise her to join them. That's enough to make her stay with you after you've triggered the self-destruct of the BoS bunker reactor.
