Allen Enterprise's website:Developed and Manufactured by JAE with the objective of delivering repeatable bolt-like performance to the M14 platform. The heart of the JAE-100 G2 is a rock solid metal-to-metal fit between the action and stock bedding. Locking Lug Slides draw and secure the receiver into the machined full length Aluminum Skeleton, ensuring a precise fit that withstands a lifetime of disassembly and service, without degrading performance. A simple, adjustable interface ensures a custom and repeatable fit for each shooter. IRL this is really the only stock that will make the M14 accurate enough for sniping without glass bedding the stock, which the M14 has a tendency to chew to s***. A National Match M14 in this stock can shoot .5 inch groups at 100 yards with the right ammo (for reference, an M4 with standard military grade ammo will shoot 2 inch groups at 100 yards.) That, and it just looks cool. I think version in the second pic (minus the accessories and with a full-length barrel, perhaps) would make a good replacement model for This Machine, since then it would actually fire the right ammo. Throwing .308 ammo into a .30-06 rifle always irked me. The scoped version would make a cool sniper rifle replacementa There are a lot of options for customization (colors, rails, etc.) so a very in-depth mod kit could go along with it. MeNoChinese
Well, the Garand was also a 7.62x51mm NATO rifle too. It wasn't always 7.62x63mm. I think the JAE stocks are all right, but I'd rather see a good EBR mod first, then, a Troy Arms, and finally a JAE. Also, nifskopin' and blendering are really harder than you think. FYI. oboobo
I never said I thought building weapon models was easy. I've a little (emphasis on little) work with 3ds Max and NifScope but I want this done right witch is why I'm not just doing it myself. And the other stocks are good (even though the Troy doesn't free-float the barrel) I like the JAE because I'm just a sucker for the classic old-school stock shape. MeNoChinese
True. But, with the Troy system, the recoil is more managable and with the troy system you can use troy iron sights which are some the best in the world. If you sight in the rifle, then the whole freefloat doesn't really matter.
oboobo
Recoil with the JAE is really light because the total weight with scope is like 18 pounds :pinch:, and I can get an AR mod of some sort for the Troy sights, but we're getting into too much IRL stuff which really doesn't apply to New Vegas. I already have Khugan's FO3 EBR mod, I mainly want the JAE for asthetic reasons.
