now, if you wants tips for modding, it basically depends on what kind of modding you want to do, and for which game (or games)

you can find many tutorials around, some here, some on other sites, for the usage of the tools used in modding

but that of course depends on which game you would like to mod, and what type of mods you want to make

 

basically, i would suggest you to start by learning the construction set of the game you wish to mod

and if you want to create some more advanced mods, you will need to learn other programs, like 3D modelers or texture making programs

but again, it really depends on what kind of mods you are looking to make
