securitywyrm
Traveling through the wasteland, it becomes quite difficult to maintain your armor. Sure, you may find tons of powder ganger or legion armor in your travels, but you don't dare put it on for fear of a traveling NCR ranger battalion coming over the hill and spotting you fighting that gecko. So what's an adventurer to do? Answer: Patchwork armor. Armor that uses any and all armor you come across and scavenges it for parts. It provides a low bonus (about that of leather armor) but is medium armor and weighs twice as much. The only benefit to patchwork armor is that it will always be in 'top shape' since you can patch it with just about any armor you come across. I don't know how to use the GECK, but I believe it would entail creating the base armor (with mesh), then adding all other armor types (except stuff like power armor) as stuff that can be used to repair it.
