SatanSoldier Posted November 7, 2010 Share Posted November 7, 2010 I'm making a new sniper rifle. I got the model done and managed to get it in game and functioning. I also figured out how to export UV map from Blender 2.55. I can edit the UV map from gimp and export as a dds. My problem is that With such a large weapon I can only Identify maybe 15% of the UV map and where it goes on the weapon.What is the simplest way to texture a large weapon like this? throttlekitty Posted November 8, 2010 Share Posted November 8, 2010 Sorry, I don't think I understand the problem fully. If you're making a new weapon, you have full control over how the UVs are laid out. Maybe some screenshots of the model w/texture applied and of your UV layout would be helpful.
