Changing mag capacity for non-vanilla weapon

Hi,

 

I'm using the Desert Eagle mod but can't get over the fact that its .50 cal and magazine has 9 bullet capacity. Here's what I tried:

 

Loaded falloutnw.esm along with the desert eagle esp in GECK, located the two weapons mod adds into game and edited their mag capacity to 7. Saved as new .esp and enabled it in launcher. Launched the game but mag capacity stays at 9... I thought it might have to do with some duplicate entities so i tried to save the modified weapon as new form but when i spawned the new form in game via console, it showed no ammo information, and when i fired it, game crashed. Aparently its missiong some information but i dont see what since I basically copied the entity and im running it along with both esm and desert eagle esp so it should have all the data necessary. Any help is appreciated.

I think this is your problem:

 

As you loaded the falloutnv.esm and the deagle esp, did you set the deagle esp as the "active file" ?. If you didn't, you saved some scrap useless modifications in another esp.

So open that stuff again, set the active file and alter the mag size again. save and be happy! =D
