RedRocketTM
To keep this short: As the game's music is in mp3, there must be a way to change it. (And I know there is one, a lot of mods do have that feature ;) ) But how can I do it? I do have some nice files, which I like more than the original game music. I searched the Oblivion.ini for some options to change the path for the game's mp3s, but I could not find anything. But as some of you seem to know how... Would anyone mind to explain it to me in short? Would be nice! ;) (Even if it needs the CS... *sigh*)
m3lisk
Nope, no CS is needed. All you have to do is place an mp3 in the same place as the music you seek to change, delete the old music, or store it somewhere else, in case you change your mind, and name your mp3 as the old mp3. Its that simple.
RedRocketTM
Wow, thank you ;)It will be much greater with new music. Especially outside towns and when fighting!
m3lisk
Yeah, NP. I changed mine a while ago, but I had to reformat, so I'll do it again. FYI, you can change the sound of just about anything similar. I plan on changing my MSN sounds for IMs later tonight.
Russki Bear
I put a lot of the Morrowind music in there before I disabled music altogether (it is more atmospheric without music IMO). I did the same in Rome: Total War and the sound of the the battles took a new dimension - the silence before the carnage. Same in TESIV sometimes.
