It's always Sunday

I can watch the day click over from, say Sunday Oct 21 to Monday Oct 22 when I Sleep or Wait but, when I save my game and restart, it's now Sunday Oct 22. Does anyone else see this or do I have some mod installed that's messing with my mind?

Same problem here. Even on my new character and disabled mods. Have to re-install the game and try all mods one by one, I guess.

So question is: what kind of mod could do that? I don't think it's armor or crafting kind of mods. Any tips?

Sorry for the bad English!

The good news is that I just bought a new computer last night so I can reinstall from scratch on it and see if it's like that in pure vanilla and then start adding mods in one by one. I spent last night getting FO3 up and running on the new box and now I'm battling with installing Steam in preparation for installing NV tonight. I'll let you know what I find.

And I didn't notice anything wrong with your English, you don't need to make any apologies!

Okay. I did a clean install of Steam and New Vegas on the new machine. As soon as I left Doc's office I waited for 24 hours twice and watched the clock tick from Monday, through Tuesday and into Wednesday. Saved the game and exited. Restarted NV and reloaded the saved game and the Wait dialog reports it to be Sunday. No mods, no quests other than the Main Quest.

Has anyone developed a fix for this problem? Every time I relaunch the game, the day in any save is Sunday.

Oddly, if I let enough time pass in the game for it to be a later day and then load any save, the day remains the later day instead of Sunday. But on relaunch, it's back to being Sunday in every save game. I assume there's a variable for day of the week that is incorrectly being set to 0 when first loading a game after launch instead of being calculated from the game date or directly stored in save data. However, I can't find any game variables that would allow me to write a work-around script. There is a GetDayofWeek console command that shows Sunday to be 0, but it doesn't seem to allow me to set the day of the week to something else.

How do you save the game? quicksave an autosave are only partial saves. To manually create a full save you have to press ESC then save, then create new save. Which quick save an autosave rewrite save games over an over which becomes potentially prone to coruption, along with using the continue button, in theory at least from the many old rules we developed over the last 3 years playing fallout 3. Further this would suggest that overwriting save games in general is "Dangerouzesness". I use Imps timescale aduster to have a 1:1 time ratio between the system clock an game time. Which might help in your search for a diagnosis. I'll be sure to check an see if it does that on me computer, but I doubt it's very common or surely we would have noticed by now.

This isn't something occurring only in particular save games. I have eight saves that aren't the quick save or autosave, and it's always Sunday when I load a save after launching the game. The posts above mine confirm that this occurs even on the first save after a clean install.
