alex3474
hi there! my problem is i start to convert my mod http://www.fallout3n...le.php?id=12636 to new vegas! everything works well! i have in my mod a custom race, because i want some different npcs! no problem at time! i added new bodymesh, textures and some other hairs to this race! works as esp file very well in game! but my mod overwrite rikais hair pack and so i dont have this hairs on my player character, only default her or the vanilla hairs!after many tries in FNVedit and geck i dont have any idee why this happens! i delete the custom race, and put my 2 hairs to the hispanic race, select the npc again in hispanic race, like always works well! but not the hairs for player!if i load rikais hairpack and my mod together in geck i have all hairs, on the right place in the races, but not in game! strange is the the geck or FNVedit shows me a conflict with the hispanic, and africanamarican race with the hairs, i dont understand why, because i didnt edit in this races if i use my custom races!if i delete in FNVedit this 2 race in my customrace, than i dont have a confict, but the game did change anything! i changed loadorder as well, no result too.so i hope for an answer, and sorry if it is a littlebit complicated writing ) greetz alex
rickerhk
A hairpack mod like Lings or rikais modifiy the vanilla races to add hairs. If you then modify a vanilla race in your mod, it will override what they have done. If you modify the hispanc race with texture, mesh, and hairs in your mod, the changes that were made in the hair pack will not be available to the player or other actors outside of your mod.You should make a copy of the hispanic race, with a different name. Customize it and assign it to your NPC.If you look at your esp (I have version 2.2) with FO3edit, you see that hispanic and African American are being overridden. To make a copy of a race, highlight it in the Geck, press F2, type a new name, press return, then click 'yes' to create a new object. Customize this however you want it. Then assign it to your NPC. For Kasia, not sure why you made a custom voice type by editing CBRadioConversation. You should just assign her FemaleAdult02 or 04, or 01Finally, load your esp into FO3Edit. Expand 'Race' under your mod. Right-click on the Hispanic entry, then click 'remove'. Do the same for AfricanAmerican. Go to voice types, right click on KasiaSzewc00001, then 'remove'. This will 'clean' your mod. Close FO3Edit and save. Now your mod won't be overriding the hairpack.
