SorchaR Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Hi. I had the PC version of DA:O installed from disk. When I decided to get the Ultimate Edition with Awakenings and all the DLC, I decided to do the digital download instead, so I wouldn't need the disk on hand. However, it still prompts for the disk when I play. Am I going to have to uninstall completely, and then reinstall from the digital file, or is there another way to tweak it so I don't need the disk?

It's totally possible to have BOTH the "regular" install, and the UE install of DA on the same system. Their recommendation was to do an uninstall of the previous version (keeping your Characters and Saved Games, of course) THEN install the UE. Sounds like you might still be starting the non-UE, (non-Digital) version when it asks for a disc.

Thanks, I'll take a look and see if I can start it differently.
