OMGLAZERS
Look, if you're like me, you like to be organized. You don't throw all your crap into one box in the Lucky 38. You want your ammo here, and your weapons there, etc. etc. But if there is one thing that is the BANE of my existence, it is the fact that the 'OK' and 'Take All' share the same button. "A". EVERYONE has had this problem: You are unloading a bunch of ammo types into a box. Or maybe scraps. Each time you do it, it requires you to click, determine the quantity and then hit 'A' to confirm. When doing a LARGE amount of things, this can be repetitive. And maybe you're not paying attention, and you double hit A. Or perhaps you only had five bullets, and no dialogue is required, but 'Take All' shares the same command. In some form or another, everyone has hit the 'A' button and removed everything from the box and thus, created another two to three minutes of work. Let alone repeated chances for this to occur again. I propose that either the 'Confirm' for quantity selection or, as I prefer it, the 'Take All' button have different letters. Perhaps make 'Take All' the letter "T". Or "U" Something far enough away that it's not going to get mashed accidentally, but close enough that it's not a hassle to fix. If this is possible [and I sure as hell hope it is] please make this mod. You will get so many endorsements it will make your head spin. I *KNOW* I can't be the only one who dies a little inside every time this happens. Thanks. :]

OMGLAZERS
DarnUI? (Or at least it was being talked about in the Bethesda forum topic yesterday.) I'm using DarnUI v4 right now, and it's definitely not implemented yet. It needs to be. This has driven me bonkers X_X

Porkdish
You can edit Darn's xml files or extract the game's original versions (with FOMM or NVMM) and edit them with notepad ++ or something similar. They're in the -misc.bsa. As well as that frustrating A for accept (when it also functions as take all), is the equally frustrating E is sometimes exit... but then sometimes X is for exit... Open up Container_Menu.xml and near the top you'll see <_PCButton_A> CM_TakeAllButton </_PCButton_A> If you change it to : <_PCButton_Q> CM_TakeAllButton </_PCButton_Q> Now whenever you open a container, to take eveything in it you have to press Q. A is still 'accept' on the stack/amount messages. So if you're habitual about pressing A to accept an amount/stack, there's no fear of accidentally taking the entire contents of a container. Its probably just as easy (or not) to edit in the Q down the bottom in the 'hint' text so you don't forget you've changed keys. I got bored and changed all the hotkey's for menus, blackjack etc this way... its quite tedious. I hope Darn comes up with an easier method that just involves editing the one settings file. :)

Porkdish
http://i52.tinypic.com/2z9ifsg.jpg As posted above, easy enough to change the key and HINT key too. Have to move finger up to Q now to take everything in a container. Not sure if it works on companions yet, will see in a minute.
OMGLAZERS
Thanks for the reply on how to do this myself. You just made a man very happy.
X5Alexander
While we're on the topic of item and container UI, I propose a "Put all" or "Give all" button. Yes? Works just like the "take all" button but reversed so that everything in your inventory is put into the container.
dra6o0n
I wonder if they got a Drop All button where you can drop everything from your currently filtered inventory into the container...Maybe if a mod that allows you to drop items into a container, you need a safety switch in order to use it (like pressing two buttons at once instead of 1). Heck, if there were a "lock" option for doors and such, it would bring about better gameplay... If AI on mobs are set so they can take their time to bust down said locked door that is... Like if you got a bounty on your head, and a hunter finds you, you lock the door, only to hear them banging on it.
