thatoneguy101011
Would someone be able to create the Harkonnen cannon from the Helsing anime? I think it'd be amazing to carry a large and in charge rifle like that around in-game. I've found several different pictures seem to disagree as to the length of the barrel, but I'd like it to be as long as it could possibly be.Here are some reference pics http://hellsing.comicgenesis.com/hellsing/p/serpic.jpghttp://www.imfdb.org/images/thumb/e/ec/HSSeras%27scannon.jpg/500px-HSSeras%27scannon.jpghttp://img124.exs.cx/img124/1884/sheet12.jpg I'd really like to be toting this thing around perforating fools and causing mass mayhem. Whoever makes it will win 1000 internets

HaikenEdge
Would give this to a companion. Probably should req 10 str + 80-100 Guns, tho.

I don't know about giving it to the companion, but I do agree on the high strength and guns requirement, maybe explosives also
Schneidend
The Harkonnen fires 40mm shells of varying types, if I recall, so it should be an Explosives weapon. It'd be a beautiful long range sneak attack weapon for Explosives characters.Introducing some 40mm armor-piercing slugs would be a great "bonus" to the mod, but I don't know if it's possible to make 40mm ammo that just hits enemies and doesn't explode. Gawl40
The main issue I see is removing the arc of the projectile. The Harkonnen has a huge range, far exceeding the grenade machineguns. It's basically a oversized Anti-Materiel Rifle.
thatoneguy101011
That's the issue, my only thought is if you could change remove the explosive particle effect of the 40mm grenade, or convert its explosive damage to impact damage. As to the issue with the projectile arc, perhaps the relative gravity of the projectile? Or its weight or speed?
Schneidend
I think as long as the Harkonnen fires with enough force, the 40mm will fly straight, but I'm not too familiar with exactly how Havok physics work. I'm more of a Source man.
OmegaForte
Well, if I'm not mistaken, it's a 13mm anti-material cannon. I say chamber it in 25mm, set the projectile speed to...0.7, to handle the weight of the bullet, and viola. High explosive anti-deathclaw rifle. Oh and while I'm thinking about it...Ammo types could include HEDP (Dual purpose explosives capable of handling light armor and soft targets) and HEAA (Anti-Armor shape charges to breech armor, but with a little less bang for your buck.) Also wouldn't mind seeing a regular 25mm saboted slug for this too. That way you lose the casualty radius, and gain single target focus.
dr3amcatcher
Speaking more of balance, I think it should be done without scope (like in Hellsing) and with pretty low recharging speed - perfect for taking out 1-2 strong enemies but the crowd will have enough time to tear you apart since you won't be able to shoot from large distance.
