TheKingPotato
I recently started playing Skyrim, and decided to install a few mods. I used the NMM, but I've only had one mod actually work properly as of yet. Another mod, which adds 2K+ textures, sort of works, but the textures only seem to be applied on the flat terrain and nothing more. The rest of the mods I tried to install simply don't work at all; no changes to the game are made after installing them, Any fixes for this? I'd highly appreciate it! Cheers,-King Potato Edit: Just discovered that I mistook the texture mods that did work for the in-game textures; the texture mod basically has also changed nothing in game. vlaka
if they use esp file make sure theyre activated in NMM.If they're overwrite files make sure that NMM knows where your skyrim folder is.

onekrone
Post your load order. Also read the first stickied thread.
TheKingPotato
Post your load order. Also read the first stickied thread.I just read that first thread you mentioned. Is that guide for people who want to install mods manually instead of using the NMM?
PaladinHoyt
It's a guide for both. It involves programs that may either resolve your load order difficulties or allow you to find where the conflicts in your mods may arise from.
vlaka
check your skyrim folder to see if the files are copied into that directory.if you're installing manually all texture mod files (if they're separate files) get installed into Skyrim/data/textures. TheKingPotato
Yeah, I tried those programs mentioned in said guide; f*#@in' ruined my save games. Barely managed to salvage them, but I'm sure as hell not trying that again. Seriously though, I really only want to be having to use NMM without installing more bullcrap programs filling up my SSD :L. Also, could someone tell me a bit more about load orders? The guide is very incomprehensible for a beginner in skyrim mod installation such as me...
vlaka
if you want to make modding easier tes5edit & wrye bash are mandatory  Again make sure the files are in the correct directories. Also check if bEnableFileSelection=1 is in skyrimprefs.ini Edited February 25, 2015 by vlaka
