Coman
in the construction set i by accidently added 3 master files, that i dont need for my mod on to the needed list. my mod will now not run without these even if i dont use anything from them at all (which i dont). this is frustrateing because i sure would not download a mod that requires 3 other mods first. If you know how to help me (probably you dont understand what im saying cause im terrible at expressing it) please do... I would appreciate any help what-so-ever
obobski
Wrye Bash can alter dependencies but I'm not seeing an explicit how-to on removing things from the masters list (I've done it for saves but never for an esp :wallbash:) best I can think of might be having Bash create you a "newmod.esp" and copying your data (via Export/Import feature in Bash) into this new file sans dependencies; I'm certain there's probably a "cleaner" way to do this though (hopefully someone who's working on more hours of sleep can explain) tired question of the day:assuming you didn't follow this/make this happen:http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/De-Isolation_Tutorial the CS should be pretty oblivious to those masters being required (for example I can usually get the CS to open CM Companion esps without dragging all of the required masters in as well, especially if cosmetic/item mods are involved) - have you tried opening the esp you created without those masters selected, setting it as active, and re-saving it? I would appreciate any help what-so-ever Either Wyre Bash or TesGecko will allow you to edit the masters list of an esp to remove masters that you really don't need. Just be careful - because they will also allow you to remove masters that you really do need (with the slip of a mouse) and can mess up your mod by doing so.
