vamphyri6968
I was just wondering, is their a mod that makes Oblivion a darker game to play? Just like Morrowind has a mod that makes it darker. To me its just too clean and neat.

You could try unholy darkness for a vampire the Masquerade style reimagining of cyrodil

vamphyri6968
I guess you could say a little dirtier.
Smooth613
Cava Obscura is my favorite. It alters the ambient light of dungeons and such to a point where torches, night-eye, etc... are of actual use. As far as the outside environment I use All Natural. A weather overhaul and much more. There is an .ini setting to adjust how dark the nights are to whatever you want. Really makes the nights much more realistic. I hate vanilla Oblivion's nights. You can see everything perfectly and it's stupid. I adjust mine where there is some visibility on a perfectly clear night, just like it would be in real life under the moon light. This setting works well for me since when it's storming or overcast the nights end up being nearly pitch black where you need a torch or some other light source to see. EDIT* Oh I was typing that up while you guys responded. I thought you wanted darker, as in environment, mods.
vamphyri6968
that's fine to, anything that gives the game a better look and feel.I also like a grittier look for the buildings.:D
Deleted1217574User
Better Cities makes Leyawiin and Bravil look dirtier, since they're the two with such a reputation, but that mod puts a fairly decent strain on your computer. Blood & Mud I also think is a quest mod that makes Bravil slummier, but I've never used it. As far as environments go, I prefer to use Natural Environments with the optional Darker Nights addon. I can't install the Oblivion patch v1.2 it says"old file not found. however, a file of the same name was found. no updates done since file contents do not match." Then it shuts off. Anyone have any ideals?? Thanxs..:wallbash:
Smooth613
What version of the game do you have? Some, like the GOTY edition, are already up to date when you buy them.
