What mods should I use?

Ok so I'm new to this world of mods in Oblivion (not to the scene.....I've been using skins and mods for valve games for a lot of time now).....so I was wondering what mods should I use in Oblivion.

 

Now I already am using some like Coronerras Maximum Compatibility Skeletons, All Natural, Let there be Darkness, a crap ton of samurai ones and some others that I dont remenber right now.

 

Now whats the comunity says are good and/or mods you just HAVE to use in Oblivion.

 

Ok I'm locking for things like better locking people (not make them all young....just better locking), gore would be nice, good quest, a mod to make the stealh eye NOT be in the middle of the screen.

 

I've allready started a new game and really dont want to start again......because I choose to be a male character......and I see that the mods are very.....female oriented lest say......and I would like see some of the more....."special" armor ingame without having to make a new char.....also things like beards and tattoos would be very cool.

 

I would really apreciated some help.....the only I can really give in return is some advice for mods in the Source Engine and Battlefield 2 :P

well, i can only recommend what i know of

so, for probably THE BEST quest mod EVER, get the Lost Spires

i think it is the best, most loved quest mod made so far, and it doesn't have anything "female oriented"

 

also, i really like the Lost Paladins of the Divines, which is not only a nice quest mod, but adds some kick-ass knight (or Paladin :biggrin:) armor

 

now, if you have some specific style of armors\weapons you would like, it could help people help you

 

and for the stealth icon, i think there are some HUD mods that can affect that

i use Darnified UI, which i think is what people usually go for

 

for tattoos, it is for races, not something that you can put on your character like armor (at least, not that i know of), so if your character is not of the races affected, you will have to either start a new char, or just change the race using the console

 

for bears, i think you will find this mod not only to have some good content, but this is more of a male store (while the other Apachii store is more for female characters)

Cool thanks man......I swear I think I have to make a new game with a female char.......wich I never do......I just prefer playing as man (call me strange I know).....because if you look at the armor section in this site its like all female.........gueas I'm going to be a female samurai then

it's not strange that you play as a male character

everyone has it's preferences

 

but it is really wrong, to say that ALL the armors are female armors

there are plenty of amazing male armors around, both naughty and not

it just depends on what you like

i have found many amazing knight armors, like medieval knights, and it's great, and fits great in the game

 

but yeah, there are a fare share of female armors here :tongue:

 

if you like knights, i can send you links to the armors

but i'm afraid i don't know a lot of samurai armors (though they do fit great with the game)

Heres a very good samurai mod that hads a great looking house, armor and weapons.

 

But dude, theres like a really great diference in remarks of male/female things in this site....I mean really....the most downloaded and easeist to find are female armor....in a lot of cases sexy armor (it follows the rule "the more skin that is shown the armor rating will be").....wich makes me think that the mod comunity in a bunch of perverts......wich is fine in my book :P

yeah, i know how it works here

i have been a member here for far too long to not notice this

but this is more for Oblivion that for other games

in Fallout, i think the most downloaded armors are actually army armors and such (like tactical vests and kevlar) rather than sexy armors

but i may be wrong

 

and i know the kind of mods like you linked

best looking samurai armor mod i have seen so far :)

 

and about this community being mostly perverts, i don't know if it is true

the thing is, this is a free community, so a 6 year older can register here, and claim to be 20, just to get nude mods and such (ok, so 6 may be too young for such things, but you get my point)

but there are enough serious members here, that are not just good modders, but also good people

and in the end, it is those members that count, not the hundreds of under aged perverts here :biggrin:

yeah when you think of The Elder Scrools is more fantasy....and well when you think of fantasy you think of beatifull women......and awesome dragons......so TES does have more sexy armor then say Fallout (I havent check that page yet so I may be wrong)
