Fixing companions aggressive/passive option.

I'm sure many of us who have met Boone will know what I'm talking about when I say the aggressive/passive option in the companion wheel doesn't quite work.

 

Everyone who is aggressive toward you get's his or hers head blown clean off before you can draw your weapon and locate the target.

 

What I would LOVE to see, is a mod that makes the passive option in the companion wheel actually make your companions PASSIVE. (I.E Boone will only attack when you attack someone or physically get attacked.)

 

If any such mod already exist I would dearly love to find it.

I agree, I've been trying to find a way to stop followers from breaking cover while I'm sneaking. I hoped to modify the relevant script so they would only attack if the player is detected. I can find the variable that is toggled to set a follower passive or aggressive (short FollowerSwitchAggressive) but I can't for the life of me find what references it.

Phalanx does this for the vanilla followers. Get it here

 

 

@Paul_NZ - you can't find it because it isn't there. Just like a lot of other things with the followers it isn't available to us in the GECK. There are ways to build it in after the fact but they are convoluted and kinda messy; or at least they don't look/act like what you might expect from the followers. Anyway, Tarrant has something up and working in Phalanx. I'm hoping Beth/Obs will patch it and correct the problem and we won't need to live with workarounds.
