I was wondering is this was possible

I was wondering if it be possible to create a way in game to like level up your weapon and or armor. I was thinking it be kinda cool to create a new unique way to basicly choose how usefull your weapon and armor be as much as you level. These weapons could still be enchantable. I was thinking these could open up more quest opertunities and sorry for the horrible spelling. I was also wandering if anyone could tell me or point me in the right direction to be able to begin modding Dragon Age.

the level up wand, and the winter forge are both really nice mods for upgrading your items during the game.

Thanks for the info and the mods though that wasn't quite what I was thinking. I was thinking more along the lines of skills or things of that nature. Also I was wondering if there was anyway to be able to give more skill points as you level since there are a bunch of skills especially the wildkin adept has so many. I was also thinking that classes should get more skills or whatever like in Kotor.
