S.K.R.P.N. Corps Workshop

This thread was created in an attempt to receive assistance with my upcoming "S.K.R.P.N. Corps" mod. Mainly, this thread is for help with the lore. However, anyone who wishes to assist in other ways is welcome to.

Here is what I have compiled so far, lore-wise:

History

"The Special Knights Resolving Problems Network Corps, or S.K.R.P.N. Corps, were a freelance mercenary company before the Great War. They were founded by Gage Sherman and Jackson Night, two friends who shared an interest in helping people, in the year 2060. The S.K.R.P.N. Corps took any job that was offered to them, and became very famous for their efficiency and discretion. For these reasons, they were often hired by the pre-War government to deal with many situations, from taking out threats from within, to executing Chinese officials on the other side of the world. After the bombs dropped, most of the members eventually turned into ghouls.

In the early days of the apocalypse, many of the S.K.R.P.N. Soldiers left to find their families, or died from a combination of the copious amounts of radiation and the violent raiders. One of those who died was the co-founder Gage Sherman, leaving Night to lead the dying group on his own. Night did his best to gather all S.K.R.P.N. Corps members before heading out in search of a new purpose.

After several months of travel and many lives lost, eventually they were discovered by a BoS scouting party. They were taken in and Night was brought before the Head Elder, Roger Maxson. Through serious negotiations, the Brotherhood were persuaded into assisting the remaining S.K.R.P.N. Corps members by supplying them with enough equipment to gain a foothold in the new world, e.g. power armour, weapons, food, and medicine.

Afterwords, Night set off to locate bunkers constructed before the War by Vault-Tec, as payment for the S.K.R.P.N. Corps' services. Because most members were contracted by the government to deal with the civil unrest in the US, many of these bunkers were largely untouched. Night eventually discovered Vault S along the Sierra Madre mountain range, and established the new base of the S.K.R.P.N. Corps."

Bunker Purposes

Vault S: Originally meant to be used for resupplying troops across the world, Vault S was filled with plenty of useful materials. It is now the S.K.R.P.N. Corps' base of operations in the post-War Wastelands.

Vault K: Taken over by Krytlus and his followers in the year 2280, Vault K was used as the S.K.R.P.N. Corps manufacturing facility. Everything that was used by the soldiers originated here.

Vault R: Vault R was built to be used as the S.K.R.P.N. Corps' research center. It is here that they developed much of their technology. It is rumoured that Dr. Mobius used to work here, before being transferred to Big MT.

Vault P: Vault P was used as a P.O.W. camp before the War. The S.K.R.P.N. Corps performed torture-themed contracts here. It's current use is unknown.

Vault N: Nicknamed "The Nest", this facility was used to train new recruits before the War. Currently it's use is unknown.

Structure

The S.K.R.P.N. Corps is comprised almost completely of the original members, now turned into ghouls. They rarely, if ever, recruit outsiders unless they are a ghoul as well. Their reasoning for this is that,"only those who have known true hardship can help others." Many argue that regular humans have endured true hardship as well, but the S.K.R.P.N. Corps remains adamant. Because of their strict recruitment methods, their numbers are small, compared to many other groups. With such small numbers, conflict is often avoided if at all possible.

Religion

Originally, there was no single religion of the S.K.R.P.N. Corps. Everyone practiced whatever they saw fit, whether it be Christianity, Islam, Judaism, etc. Recently however, there have been rumours about a drastic change in the overall structure of religion for the S.K.R.P.N. Corps. It is said that as of 2278, a Radscorpion, far bigger than any seen before, is being worshiped as a deity of sorts. Because members rarely reveal the secrets of the Corps, and new members are uncommon, there has been no proof to back up these claims.

Tactics & Equipment

Every S.K.R.P.N. Corps member is trained in the use of small firearms and hand-to-hand combat. This allows them to be capable at most any range. Most often, close combat is avoided in favour of taking enemies out from afar, so as to avoid injury. The standard equipment for a S.K.R.P.N. soldier is a specialized Combat Helmet, Night Vision Goggles, an air-filtering apparatus, a Stinger sub-machine gun and a Claw gauntlet, with body armour being dependent on each individual's abilities. While every soldier is capable with these weapons, many of those in the higher ranks are proficient with other weapons, as well. Each of these higher ranking members also possesses a specialized set of Power Armour, tailored to specifically fit their fighting styles and personalities. While the other members receive armour unique to them as well, the difference is much more pronounced for the higher-ups.
