TenPenny
hi of late i've experienced horrible load times when loading the save game. i'm pretty sure its because i'm using a lot of mods, especially the clothing mods. when i disable all the clothes mods, the game loads in 10 secs max. but when i've enabled the mods, the game takes a minimum of 2 mins to load! [ yeah, i timed it with a stop watch :( ] is there any workaround for this, other than disabling the mods? apart from these initial load times, theres no any other conflict in the game. once loaded, transition between diff areas don't take long time to load (eg enter/exiting a building) please advice. thanks (P.S.: the clothing mods are at the bottom of the load order in FOMM)
GrindedStone
FNV is much more touchy when it comes to changing a load order or anything inside a load order, then loading a already created save game. This is made worse from the game being even more prone to corupt save games than fallout 3 was right now. So I reckon a good start would be to start a new game with the mods an see what happends. Also FOMM isn't FOMM anymore, it's NVMM an is just a temporary solution to the lack of a mod manager last time I checked. The game launcher is the final say, an it's quite messed up. For some odd reason it's not only looking at modified on dates to determine the load order. The dern thang is trying to put mods A to Z. So any mod that begins with a letter before F (FalloutNV) loads before the FalloutNV.esm. To fix this I've had to rename just about half the mods I use. So you should click data files in the launcher to see what order it's actually going to load them in.
