Books, Havok and Inter-dimensional vortices of Damnation

Imagine this...

A chilling, guttral scream pierces the night in a small town somewhere in Australia. The sheer resounding rage of it echoing across the desolate plains is enough to cause concerned citizens of the area to make enquiries of the nearest zoo to as to the structural integrity of their lion enclosure and the whereabouts of it's residents.

A SWAT team is dispatched to the source of the screen and they assault the small residence in a clinical and well rehearsed tactical action only to emerge seconds later with their blackened faces full of wry smiles.

"It's just another poor fool." The SWAT team leader reports to the police captain on site.

"Don't tell me." Sighs the captain. "Another idiot trying to stack things on bookshelves using the Havok engine in Oblivion."

The SWAT team leader nods and the small posse of heavily armed troopers pile into the back of the swat team and drive back to base for a quick game of Morrowind where placing items in one's comandeered domocile was designed by somebody who wasn't a sadistic psychopath.

As you may surmise from the above I have absolutely had it with Havoc, to coin a quaint Australian phrase I've had a gutsfull of it.

Havok seems to completely reverse, distort pervert and corrupt everything which is intuitive in it's representation of physics at the best of times and at worst, where some items added by mods have not been properly rigged for it, it actually acts as a portal allowing vorticies of chaotic damnation to enter the realm of Tamriel. Whatever the source of these vortices is I can tell you that they come from a plane of hell where stacking books in an orderly fashion seems to be a particularly nasty type of insult.

So here is my request, can a script be attatched to bookshelves so that they act as display cabinets? It it possible that somebody can make a mod for me that will allow me to stack my books without taking precautions more in line with the handling of volatile high explosives?

Thanks for reading and all the 'get-well-soon' post-lobotomy cards are greatly appreciated, the scar still itches but I've never felt so calm. I guess I'll get used to the diapers after a while.

There is not SWAT in Australia =.=

Each state has a police assault group equivalent to the SWAT and none use that acronym :)

Lets please keep this on the topic of the mod request please. Thanks! -DarkeWolf

Thanks Shadowfen, I'll check that one out too! :D

Yeah thanks, I'm sure that a STAR response team is on it's way to set the record straight as we speak... :P

I used the acronym SWAT because everybody knows instantly what I am talking about. It's called artistic license. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artistic_license

If you say Australias space program and then Refer to it as NASA it wouldn't make much sense now would it ? xD

The story was interesting :D

I already explained this.

My usage makes perfect sense and I deliberately made the choice to use SWAT on a sound, logical basis.

Your example is flawed for two reasons,

1) NASA refers to an acronym containing an overt reference to a particular nation. SWAT describes a type of para-military response team which could be applied to any similar unit as the best known and most used acronym.

2) If I had used the acronym STAR then I would have marginalised most of the readers who have not idea what STAR is which would be even stupider than taking a very small liberty using SWAT.

Usage is what makes language work, not semantics.

Now, are we done here or does some jackass want to point out that a (*INSERT REGIONALLY ACCEPTABLE ARMED RESPONSE FORCE HERE*) would not have even been dispatched to deal with escaped lions anyway...?

I strongly suggest that further flamebaiting be avoided in future posts. Thank you. -DarkeWolf

Who's being insulted? The remark was self-depricating as anybody who can read english should plainly see.

In fact why are you even posting here? Your first post was unhelpful and off topic and now you go on to make strange and premature accusations about a non-existant insult. You're not much use to me in my search for a helpful mod at all. So, if you have nothing topical to add then you might spend your time elsewhere instead of parading your ignorance here, in this thread, which happens to be about finding a way to stack books and not about you.

Lets please keep this on the topic of the mod request please. And lets avoid getting into arguements with other members. If you see a comment that you think is inappropriate report the comment and let the staff handle the situation. Thanks. -DarkeWolf

If, on the other hand, you have something worth adding then by all means add it.
