Realistic Trading

Not sure if something similar has been requested yet, so sorry if it has.

If someone could do a mod that removes caps, or makes them much less effective, I would really appreciate it.

Instead of having a currency system, where you buy/sell stuff with/for money, I would like items to have a 'trade value' so you actually have to give traders something of yours to get something of theirs. This would encourage people to pick up random items that they wouldn't normally use and repair or make things so they can trade for ammo or supplies.

Additionally, I would like to see the barter skill and reputation have a significant effect on trading. For example, maybe having 100 barter would give the trader ~10% 'leniency' on the 'trade-value' (As in, you're trying to buy an item that would normally be worth 10'000 caps, but the trader may allow you to trade in 9'000 worth of items).

Giving specific vendors 'personalities' would be a plus. Drug addicted traders may provide a better value for chems, or there may be a random trader in the middle of nowhere who loves dinosaur souvenirs.

Also, it would be cool if traders remembered you in a way. If you give a trader more than what is required, he could remember you and give you an equal discount the next time you trade, or they might 'overprice' their items if you're in a bit of debt to them.

Sorry if I'm not very clear, but if anyone's able to make a mod like this, please do.

Sorry I probably wasn't clear in my original post.

When you go to a vendor and try to sell or buy stuff, you get that arrow and number indicating who will be paid and by what amount. The idea is to keep that, but neither party will be directly rewarded if the number deviates from 0. being on 0 means you've swapped an equal total value of item(s) for the item(s) you will receive. If the arrow points to you, it means you've given the trader more than is required, and if it points to the trader, you've given him less.

If adjusting the barter skill to modify trading with percentages is too hard, I think bartering and reputation should have an effect on the amount you can deviate from 0. For example, if you're neutral and have 0 barter, you would be forced to give the trader the exact same total value of item(s) in exchange for what you will receive. Say you're Idolized with 100 barter, maybe you could deviate by 500 (Say you want to buy something worth 1500 - you could give him only 1000 worth of items and he will let you get away with it, or give him something worth 2000 that will grant you a discount of 500 next time you visit).

TL;DR Just remove caps - for a more technical version of the mod, one would need to change/add values relating to barter/reputation and try to have vendors 'remember' you.
