syldude
Allastair is a templar, Morrigan is a shapeshifter, Leliana is a bard, and zevran is an assassin. Save for Sten, all of your companions start belonging to a subclass, why can't you? If you could lower the maximum level requirement for some of the abilities, and add a talent point right out of the gate, then this would be great! (Why hasnt anyone else thought of this yet...) Thandal
@Sly; Essentially already done. True, you can't accomplish it until you've reached the point of being able to make your first save, (since "add item" mods tend to fail until you reload a save) but surely that's close enough to "the gate"? You just have to combine a few mods that are out there ("Character Respec", and the "Beguiler", for example.) Between being able to reallocate attributes, skills, and talents, and being able to add points in these areas either through inventory items (wands, potions, etc.) or Console Commands, I'm not sure what's stoppping you. Have Fun!
syldude
If I use console, i get CTD. not fun at all, so it goes without saying that I would like this in a dazip or in something that wont screw my game.

So use one of other solutions I suggested. And there are others, those were just two that came immediately to mind. The Console Command option was just the most direct. (Although if it crashes your system, there are other problems...)

I use Dragon Age Beguiler 004 (Thandal did mention it to you) and while it doesn't lower the requirements it will allow you to raise your level to where you can use them. I usually start out between level 25-38 so I can use the awakening skills/spells/specializations and get the most out of the lv 50 mod I use. My current mage walked out of the harrowing as a Blood Mage/Arcane Warrior (dual wield)/Battlemage. It lends a certain irrelevance to leveling but that doesn't bother me in the least.
