Gwyvern
How do i edit Projectile effects? for example, how would i change the laser rifle beam from red to blue?
UnknownZombie
I just started to work on the exact same thing.. I thought it would be as simple as loading a .nif or .dds and changing the color... But apparently laserbeams are natively white? It makes no sense to me, because I see nowhere in the GECK any data values to change the color of the mesh or texture. And I would assume it has to in order to make it go from white to red.. So I'm stumped. It seemed like it should be easy going into it, but if it's not obvious like that what is it? Could it be decided in the shaders that things classified as laser beams are tinted red? UnknownZombie
I tried changing the color of the texture from white to blue, and editing the .nif to point to the new textures. When I made a new projectile in GECK and gave it my new .nif, it still came out red. Edited November 22, 2010 by UnknownZombie
ecksile
Edit the textures from inside the gecks texture set. Those overwrite the nif settings.
