rbird090
I own Fallout 3 for the PC and when I had Vista, everything worked perfectly and mods would actually load. Then I had to get a new laptop that brought Windows 7 with it. Now Fallout 3 runs perfectly, but all mods (besides the RH_Ironsight mod) don't load in the actual game. They show up in the Data Files in the launcher, but they don't load in the game. Can someone please help me out here?
bben46
Hundreds of thousands of people play with mods on win7 with no problems at all. My first guess is you have made the mistake of installing the game to the default location. If you have UAC active it prevents mods from showing up in the game. Deactivating UAC will clear this up, but can cause other problems. Best solution, reinstall outside of the UAC protected program files folders in a location such as in C:\Games\Fallout3. Reinstalling will not remove any saved games. - You can make a copy just in case though. You should copy your current \data folder to a new location until after you have tested the game in the new location. Then before changing anything make a copy of the original game \data folder with NO mods as a backup. Then try copying the current \data folder back.
