New Laser weapons (Pistol/Rifle) ?

Hi

I would appreciate it if someone could make some new Unique Laser Weapons!

I tried myself, but aside from modifying the "That Gun" to use energy cells and the pewpew laser color I don't have the skill to do it. And increased the Critical mulitplier to 5x which is actually the only way to make the gun unique as laser weapons don't have high critical multipliers.

I was thinking of the Bryar Pistol -> http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Bryar_pistol it is similar to the "That Gun" in look and was powerful enough.

And maybe another Rifle with Scope (which I also tried to do in the GECK but it's not working as intended.

So if anyone could try to make one or add a model with stats to the nexus that would be cool.

Oh Lord, this brings back such bad memories of when I tried to make a blaster. Granted, it was the first mesh I ever made, but it sucked so incredibly hard... :P

Anyway, why not do your own port of one of the laser weapons for Fallout 3? I think Jaysus had a lovely laser carbine for example.

EDIT: just to make it clear, I mean for your own personal use. I'm not encouraging you to upload someone else's work. Unless you get permission from the author, that is.

Sadly I do not have the skills to model a brand new weapon for you & believe me, I wish I did...

However, I can make any weapon in the game or any you download, fire any projectile you want with any number of sounds, explosions, impacts, damage etc. If you like, give me an example of a weapon you want & I'll Modify it for you to test. For example, I am currently using the awesome weapon model from the "Darkfiregaming" mod @ http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36669 & have modified it to fire Gauss rounds with custom impact, explosions, sounds, damage & crits. I have it so that the rounds only show up in VATS & have modified the projectile speed & the weapons ROF. Pretty basic I know, but the end result is quite enjoyable. I have it combined with the Nevada Skies mod & the Advanced Recon mod. Using Infra-red view ala-Predator view, during a stand storm against high level death claws, makes for an interesting battle. Point being, I think you would enjoy it as well. If you like, I'll make a short video of what I'm talking about & post it on Youtube for you to see to get a better idea of what I mean.

Not necessarily. If the electromagnets were of the proper shape, size, and strength, and you had a computer sophisticated enough to run high-end calculations (think Supercomputer), and yet still small enough to fit in a reasonably sized weapon (say a carbine, for instance, with a battery backpack), you could generate an elongated acceleration field, thereby lengthening the electromagnetic "barrel". Since a Gauss weapon, which is essentially a Rail Gun, does not use conventional firing agents (i.e. Gunpowder, gun cotton, etc...), an extended physical barrel would be not only useless, but an actual detriment, since the materials it is made of would interfere with the magnetic fields.

Come to think of it, a flamer or incinerator would probably be a good place to start, if you want to modify an existing FNV weapon. If you give it a good retex-ing, maybe add some blinking lights and some plasma glow, it would probably be a pretty good "Prototype Shaped-Field Gun". Just my opinion, though...
