Can weapons proc a special attack?

I'm wanting to know if its posable to have ED-E have a 1/10 chance to shoot a special attack where he shoots 5 lasers at once.

 

I know the laser rcw gets a recycler that makes every 4th shot "free" instead of just a 25% chance of being "free". So if I could some how mix that with a tribeam laser rifle's multi shot. that would be what im asking is posable.

 

The only ways I can think of it working is having it either switch ammo types to allow for that or weapons. But I have no idea how to do either. I just want to know if its posable. and if it is why has no one done it yet =þ

Or instead of a burst shot, what if its just 1.5sec of gatling laser fire then back to his normal attack type.

or a plasma shot that explodes into that meltdown effect when it hits (basically a plasma rocket)

Any of them possible?
