SnapDragin
So I wanted to create a custom race in order to modify my character's skin file without changing the rest of the skins on the other characters. It was the first time I had tried using GECK, but after some messing around, I managed to duplicate an existing race, make the changes, save it as an ESP, and it worked just fine. However, the only problem was that I have a Hair Pack mod, which adds some harmless hairstyles that don't completely suck. When I went to use my mod, I noticed that I didn't have the option to use any of the preset faces. Not even the default game ones were an option, and all of the modded hair styles were nonexistent. . They work fine for the other races, just not the one I created. In short, does anyone have any idea how to get a modified race to load added hairstyles properly? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to manually add them to the new custom race with the GECK, eg open the hair mod with your own set as "active" then add each hair mesh/texture you want to have on the custom character, remember once you have done this if you intend on making it public release to gain permissions from the original creator of the hair pack. Best RegardsVampessa I have tried this; the only problem is that I'm not exactly sure how to add the mesh/texture onto my character. I can find them on the other races just fine, as they already show up under the drop down box. However, they do not show up on my race; There must be something I am missing. However, thank you for the reply, as it did help me a little. Also to clarify, this is simply a personal mod. I don't have any plans to release a mod unless it is asked of me
Quetzlsacatanango
Open your race, go to face data:Look at your menus at the top of the screen and go to characters->hair.Drag the hair you want from the hair menu to you race's hair section. Wow. I feel sufficiently stupid. Can't thank you enough.....I have no idea why I never thought of that. I thought it would be more....complicated. SnapDragin
Well I tried dragging and dropping the hair, but unfortunately after I save the changes they don't take effect. When I load the mod again, all I have left to show is a duplicate of my race, and no additional hair files, even though I had moved them before hand.. Here I thought I had finally found the answer to this.....I'm at a loss for what to do next
