Amorous_Dead_Guy
For me it's finally reached the point that I have installed so many things into oblivion that my crummy little graphics card has just decided to either CTD the game or not bother place the mesh and texture files once in a while. one minute the Dark Forest from Unique Landscapes in Mysterious and spooky, and the next BOOM there are bright pink creepers and large <!> all over the place! Because I am an irrational bloke, I have decided to just get rid of everything and re-install only the very best, before I send my fist crashing through the monitor again :S anyways, I was just looking for a set of recommendations of Mods that look good and won't blow up my graphics card!Any recommendations that are immersible and makes Oblivion-even more beautiful would be very much appreciated! (oh and I can never get the entire of Banasplit's better Cities to work, before anyone says that one :P) thank you :)
MonsterMachine
(oh and I can never get the entire of Banasplit's better Cities to work, before anyone says that one :P) LOL I could never get that 1 to work either. I probably had too much in modblivion myself. I'd start with searching immersion topics. Personally, I use an FCOM build, so I'd start with Francesco's, WarCry, OOO and MMM. Take or don't take FCOM as you will, but the following are always needful for my immersion: I always find COBL a needed addition. I use I'd add Hoarfrost Castle, a cool Player Home with a nice quest line (the best, IMHO) even tho it isn't COBLized. I use Real Hunger, Real Thirst and Real Sleep with Portable Bedrolls (and, yes Virginia, I DO play FONV with Hardcore on, I'm the one they made it for!) As far as beauty is concerned, I hesitate to say, because you are complaining about your video card. Would UL kill it? try and find out. I don't know what more to suggest based on your post. Definately, with any modblivion build, add mods 1 at a time (as in play a few minutes with each before adding another) using OBMM or Wryebash (Wrye is better if you are a bit tech savvy) and if your next dl causes issues, simply remove it using the utility, then try the next 1. Also, read the uninstall instructions, particularly with Real Thirst.

I don't know what more to suggest based on your post] Oh UL works fine, just a very brief lag now and then when running quickly through it :) my graphics card ain't THAT naff :P Mind you the Dark Forest has issues and occasionally does not load the meshes up correctly, probably a conflict or something :/ MMM however tended to crash now and then, especially when entering a city, (nearly always Skingrad) though I was running both MMM and FCOM with a compatibility patch :/ I just got irritated and deactivated it :P I was looking at things like Alluring Potion bottles and immersion interiors, All Natural and the like as a sort of OMG that is such a lovely looking tree! I don't know if that makes it easier to recommend anything :) I can run Qarl's Texture Pack fine enough, and have the settings on high and large textures, but that and UL is not such a good mix maybe? Especially not with Better Cities too :P Thanks for the advice, some of these I have not found yet, and I seem to spend a long time browsing the files on the nexus :P
