zerrodefex
You couldn't carry on with the last one either until Bethesda sold us the proper ending as DLC. Am I the only one that thinks that is really crappy trading practice? Nope, I thought it was an appalling stunt, one which no doubt they'll repeat with this game. I doubt it. Unless they are willing to make an ass of themselves. Obsidian explicitly said that there would be no continuation of the story with free-play. Plus to cover all the endings properly they'd need to either make one huge DLC and charge more for it or four separate ones and hope that they all sell. Either way it's a gamble and they're better off making DLCs that take place during the game for people who haven't beaten it several times already and/or want new stuff to do before the endgame. dontpanic
It would be a shame if they don't fill up any of the empty space on the world map.
frank lee
I really think they should say if they are not going too. If only to see the goldrush of modders scaling the fence at Mojave outpost and Nellis to stake claims on the new frontier.
Lad09
FFS, people, its the EXCEPTION, not the rule that RPGs have open endings. Seriously, go check, the vast majority of RPGs end at...well the ending(s). If we're talking exclusively the Fallout Series, then only Fallout 2 and Fallout 3+BS/Mods had open endings, FO1, FOT, and FO3 Vanilla/No DLC ended at the end. So you think Obsidian are too dumb to notice that one of the most popular games ever, was partly due to people continuing playing it after the plot finished? Or do you believe they simply don't care, and know the fanbase will shell out regardless. . .
